oh, i love these lyrics so much. how beautiful, Cara. thank you for sharing. yes - it's so difficult, but i am daily working with this dance of mystery and trust with what's unfolding, especially in darkness.
Kate, thank you for writing this and promoting queer writers. I started my substack in November and would love it if you checked out my work. My latest essay is pertinent to this post. At this crucial moment, we don't have a choice but to write about our experiences.
it's so wonderful to meet you, Consuelo! i agree with you - our storytelling right now is life-saving, life-giving, and imperative. so looking forward to engaging with your work. please - keep sharing your experiences. we're listening.
This is beautiful, words and pictures, and so true. I feel when we are most broken down it cracks open our hearts and allows truth to emerge and for change. I struggle often to hold both the joy and the sorrow but as my therapist says, both things can be true. These are really difficult times for so many and queer folks especially, thank you for sharing your voice and amplifying other queer voices. Our stories so need to be heard right now ❤️
thank you, Lexi. our stories have never been more important indeed! as well as the huge challenge of holding simultaneous space for anguish and hope. i think we're being invited to do that right now in a very urgent way. you're not alone <3
thank you, @Willow Everlong :)
Well this made me have a little cry.
I go to a women’s singing group and last night we sang a song by Heather Houston, your post reminded me of the words. https://heatherhoustonmusic.com/song/divine-mystery-by-heather-houston/
